California based trio, 30 Seconds To Mars, have announced their plans to break a Guinness world record. If anyone is familiar with the Guinness World Records book, in order to be given the honor to appear in the book or even hold the title of a world record breaker; you must do something absolutely incredible and out of the ordinary.

The band released their third full-length album, This Is War, back on Decemeber 9, 2009. This Is War features tracks such as "Closer To The Edge", "Hurricane", and "Kings And Queens". With over two years since the album debut, 30 Seconds To Mars have been touring non-stop in support of the record.
So where does This Is War, Guinness World Records, and 30 Seconds To Mars exactly meet up? The band is planning to break the record for most shows performed during a single record cycle with a 300th show in New York City.
“We have been on the road for an incredible and insane two years and thought what better way to celebrate the end of this phenomenal journey than with a week of special shows in New York City. We thought documenting this for posterity with the Guiness Book of World Records would be fun especially as we aren’t any good at growing our fingernails very long or cultivating the world’s largest squash."
The show is scheduled to take place on Decemeber 7 at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Pre-sale tickets and golden tickets are currently on sale. General on sale will be on October 22. For more information head here.
With nearly 7,000 "likes" on the band's Facebook post about the celebration concert, I have a feeling the show will sell out quickly. The band has even had to release more golden tickets due to the extremely high demand in ticket sales. Don't miss your chance to be a part of a world record event - this is something every 30STM fan will want to be at!
